Auto Collision Specialists is very excited to host a Mercedes-Benz Body and Paintwork Open House and Seminar for the Greater Washington Section of the MBCA (Mercedes-Benz Club of America).
MBCA Members will have the opportunity to watch Baltimore’s first Mercedes-Benz Certified Collision Center in action, as ACS personnel will demonstrate and discuss the collision repair systems that they use to return damaged Mercedes-Benz vehicles to pre-loss condition.
SCHEDULE
1 PM Registration/Lunch
1:30 PM Celette Frame Machine Demo
An ACS Technician will demonstrate the Mercedes-Benz certified frame repair equipment used to make precise structural repairs. The structure of a Mercedes-Benz is so intricate that only repairs with a dedicated framing bench, offering zero tolerance, can be certified by the manufacturer. The Celette can be adjusted to precisely replicate the equipment that the vehicle was built on, providing frame alignment that is specific to that model.
2:00PM Glasurit 90 Line Paint Demonstration
Auto Collision Specialists’ Master Painter will demonstrate the use of the Glasurit 90-Line waterborne paint system. Glasurit is a top of the line paint system that has been granted OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) approval from Mercedes-Benz. Glasurit can match even the most complex colors, and comes with a limited lifetime warranty. It’s also the #1 waterborne paint product in the world, meaning that it uses less harmful chemicals and releases significantly fewer emissions, making for a reduced carbon footprint and a cleaner, greener environment.
2:30PM Auto Detailing Demonstration
Auto Collision Specialists will demonstrate the use of McGuire’s automotive products for MBCA members. The detailer will discuss proper methods to clean and wax your Mercedes-Benz, and will share lots of useful tips.
3:00PM STAR Tekinfo and Electronic Parts Ordering Demo
Next is a discussion about STAR TekInfo, an official Mercedes-Benz USA site for hosting service, parts and technical documentation. It provides all of the information required for collision repair procedures involving Mercedes-Benz vehicles. We’ll take a close look at the system, providing a unique insight into the highly technical requirements of Mercedes-Benz repair.
Baltimore’s First Mercedes-Benz Certified Collision Center
Chuck Scilipote, Owner and Operator of ACS, has always insisted on using OEM materials and systems, even before Mercedes-Benz created their certification program. So, it naturally followed that ACS became the first auto body shop in the Baltimore area to be recognized by Mercedes-Benz USA for successfully meeting or exceeding their strict criteria for a collision repair facility.
This workshop will give MBCA Members an insight into all of the systems and procedures involved in keeping a Mercedes-Benz in top condition. And, of course, it will also be a great opportunity for members to socialize and show off their vehicles!
Say “Cheese”!
Lee Emmons from Absolute Perfection Media will be there taking pictures and video, which we will post to our website and social media, and will make available for sharing by MBCA Members. So, make sure you connect with Auto Collision Specialists and Absolute Perfection Media soon – we’d love to network with you as soon as possible!
